Stratus Technologies acquires Marathon Technologies

Stratus Technologies has acquired the assets of Marathon Technologies Corporation, a privately held developer of application availability solutions. 
Stratus Technologies is a global provider of products and services focused on protecting critical applications from system downtime. This union by two of our key partners creates the industry’s most comprehensive set of products and technologies for ensuring IT application availability available from one supplier.

The move means that we can improve our offering to our customers, as the result of a more streamlined and closely integrated supply chain. "The only change we expect our customers to see is improvement,” explained Rob Dinsmore, HardwarePT’s Product Manager for Availability Solutions. “The day to day operation of our company and our relationship with our customers remains the same."  HardwarePT’s most popular Stratus product lines include the company’s FT2700, 4700 and 6700 servers and related support services while commonly sold Marathon products include its everRun MX, and everRun MX Extend software.
