We're Number One for Giving Back!

In August 2010 we celebrated being in business for 25 years.  We have always been involved in raising money for charity and we used the milestone to instigate a series of charitable events including a Dazzle and Dine gala dinner.  This momentous achievement seemed to kick start an ever-increasing level of “giving back” activity through an on-going focus on fundraising and participating in community projects.

This has taken on a life of its own with individuals taking part in their own projects and company-wide activities organised by our Employee Action Team (EAT).  The beneficiaries of this activity include local charities and projects and other national causes.  In addition to having a great deal of fun taking part in activities (for example fundraising “theme days”, quizzes, bake sales, mentoring of smaller businesses and participation in sporting competitions), the stimulus of trying to find new and different ways to raise funds enhances our ability to be innovative, which is clearly helping our business growth.

In 2013, for the fifth year we entered the Sunday Times '100 Best Small Companies to Work For' in which we were marked against a set of various categories including Leadership, Health & Well-being and Personal Growth.

Whilst we are ecstatic with the result of 9th overall, it was even better to be
placed 1st across the UK for 'Giving Back'. This category judges how the
company contributes charity wise, for society generally and the local community.  In the first few months of the year we have been hard at work collecting over 100 Easter Eggs for Manchester's Wood Street Mission and raising £1000 for Comic Relief.  To find out more about activities we coordinate please email info@solutionspt.com.

We hope you enjoy the other photos of our 'Giving Back' activities from the past six months:
