Around the World Charity Challenge - Snowdonia Animal Sanctuary

To raise money for the Seashell Trust, SolutionsPT has undertaken the 'Around the World' Challenge - to complete 25,000 miles by running, walking and or cycling. To donate please visit our Virgin Giving Page

This week, Helen Fogg, Training Account Manager, shares her 'Around the World' miles story:

"Snowdonia Animal Sanctuary is based in Capel Garmon, near Betws-y-Coed, in the beautiful North Wales countryside of the Snowdonia National Park.

The help to  re-home and rehabilitate dogs and this non profit organisation are always on the lookout for reliable and trustworthy volunteer dog walkers.

During the weekends our family likes to go walking in North Wales, so rather than going on our own -  we have started to take a dog with us! We normally do a 5 mile walk which gets the dog out of the kennels for 4 hours. The sanctuary struggle for volunteer dog walkers and sadly this usually means otherwise each dog will only get a 15 minute walk per day.

Recently we have been walking a 9 month old border collie called Phoebe, a former mountain rescue dog with a lovely nature and it's helped to really clock up our miles!"
